You guys, don’t move to Sweden if you have a high libido.
According to a new report, there has been a decline in sexual activity in Sweden, and the Swedish government is worried. Because of its concerns for the Swedish people, the government is planning to ask people what their bedroom habits are in the country’s first big sex study in 20 years.
Gabriel Wikstrom, Public Health Minister, says the low libido of Swedish people could be a “political problem,” especially if it’s related to stress and other health issues.
Wikstrom says in an article on the government’s website,
Sex is an area that strongly influences people’s health, so we can’t just talk about things like, for example, venereal disease, but also things that are positive and lust-filled about sex.
The studies, he said, are crucial to figuring out what new Swedish policies should focus onrelatingto people’s sexual and reproductive health.
And in another piece he wrote for newspaperDagens Nyheter, he states,
It is important to find out how much less sex Swedes are having, and what the reason is.
I have to say, the man has a point. I definitely feel a little off my rocker when I’m not having sex.
Here aresome facts about having regular sex you may not have known:Regular sex can improve fertility and help to reduce sperm DNA damage. People who have sexual intercourse react better to high blood pressure levels and stress. And, “no sex leads to less sex,” so the less you have it, the less you want it.
The Public Health Agency of Sweden isn’t going to carry out its study until 2019, so people have a bit of time to get down and dirty.
