In fact, Prince did not seem to be a fan of the Kardashian klan and evenkicked Kim off stage once for not dancing with him.
On Monday, Zooey Deschanel who had the pleasure of working with Prince on an episode of New Girl revealed to Conan that the legendary singer did not approve of the Kardashians taking part in the episode.
Deschanel explained that though Prince “spent a lifetime cultivating mystique,” much to her surprise, she received an email from his manager explaining that Prince enjoyed the show and wanted to appear in an episode.
The 2014 episode, which featured a party thrown by Prince, included appearances frommodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Ana Beatriz Barros, along with Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw.
However, you will notice that the episode did not feature any Kardashians.
According to Deschanel, several members of the Kardashian family including Kris Jenner andKhloe actually filmed their New Girlcameos, but they never aired because someone from Prince’s camp said, “I hope it’s not a Kardashian” when referring to the celebrities that had been booked.
In fact, drastic measures were taken to erase all evidence of the Kardashians from set before Prince’s arrival including burning all scripts and call sheets in a literal bonfire.
“I felt so bad because obviously everyone had gone out of their way to be there on that day,” Deschanel said. “…but Prince was running the show.”
