Bear Grylls, you lucky sonofabitch, you.
On Monday night’s season premiere of Running Wild With Bear Grylls, the survivalist joined pop star Nick Jonas in stripping down to their boxer briefs and swimming across an icy lake.
The 23-year-old pop-star-turned-delicious-human-popsicle sucked it up and waded through the water like a total freak champion.
Once safe, secure and un-drowned, he said,
That was something else. The adrenaline does kick in and for me the only instinct was to tell myself that I’m a champ, that I can do this, that life is awesome.
After Nick screamed his way across the water, his main priority was helping blood circulate to his fingers and toes.
The former member of the Jonas Brothers was diagnosed with diabetes at 13, a condition he needs to keep a close eye on during life-threatening wilderness romps.
Part of the deal with having diabetes is low circulation to your feet, so I had to make sure that I was keeping them warm, blood was flowing.
Bear lent a couple armpits to help Nick warm his toes up, an erotic twist few of us expected to see.
We all need to start watching more nature shows, y’all.
