There’s nothing quite like driving around in your car in the summer, your favorite tune blasting through the speakers and a warm breeze blowing through your… colander.
Crazy, right? It’s never warm in England.
Oh… the colander thing. Yes, a man in Russia named Andrei Filin has won the right to wear a colander on his head in his driving license. Andrei is a dedicated Pastafarian, and as part of his ‘Flying Spaghetti Monster’ beliefs, wanted to wear the knitted (it does get pretty cold over in Russia) colander on his license photo.
Surprisingly, he won – good on you Andrei – but now Russian authorities are saying that he has to wear the strainer at all times when he’s driving. If he doesn’t, he risks having his license revoked completely. Deputy chief of Moscows State Traffic inspectorate, Vladimir Kuzin, said:
“The next time he is stopped by the traffic police, if he doesnt have a pasta strainer on his head, his licence will be taken from him.”
Looks like tensions between Andrei and the traffic police are getting a bit ‘strained’… geddit?
