It’s been 25 long years since Home Alone was released, and Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) has had a long time to dwell on those fateful, lonely Christmases…
And, in this new short by Jack Dishel, it seems that old Kev never really got over his family leaving him in the depths of the festive season to fight off “two psychopath invaders.” I mean, not only was the poor kid abandoned (twice), but he used some seriously criminal skills to fight off two murderers.
It was going to take a whole lotta counselling to get over that…
In the short we join Kevin in his mid-thirties, picking up an Uber job for his wife, even though he can’t drive. After the unbeknownst passenger says he’s “ice-cold” for forwarding a call from his mom, Kev loses it, explaining:
“It’s f*cking Christmas and your whole family go on vacation, and they forget their eight year old son… I had to fend off my house from two pyschopath invaders. I still have nightmares about this bald weirdo dude chasing me around calling me like “louse” and sh*t like that.”
“They forgot me… the cutest f*cking eight year old in the universe”.
Then it get’s dark. Really dark.
Give it a watch, but be warned there is strong language, extreme bitterness and a topless Macaulay Culkin:
