John Mayer Explains The Kourtney Kardashian Dating Rumors Could Be ‘Coming From Inside The House’ – Perez Hilton

John Mayer and Kourtney Kardashian are not an item, in case any of you were still wondering!

The New Light singer joined Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM Radio Andy show on Monday, and cleared up the air with the Bravolebrity!

When asked about the rumors that Mayer was going after Kardashian after they met at a party, the musician simply replied with:

“Yeah, that turns out to not be true.”

But he continued that he has no issue with the reality TV star family:

“I actually like the Kardashians. If you break it down to your interactions with them, they’re very nice people. I think any objection to them is more philosophical, and I don’t really have a philosophical objection to people that I don’t get on with every day. They’re very nice people.”

The 41-year-old went on to explain what actually went down between him and the momma of three at the aforementioned party, spilling it’s a “much better story” than the one “that was made up”:

“I ran into Kourtney at a party that I kind of crashed, it was a GQ party and I crashed it towards the end. And we’re waiting in the valet… I got to be honest with you, little suspicious about the origin of the story. I’m not sure the calls are not coming from inside the house on this one.”

Would it be so far-fetched that the Kardashian team would be responsible for a rumor like this?? LOLz!

“I will say, if the call is coming from inside the house, it’s diabolical and genius. When people start gossiping about you and someone else, and they start putting your picture together, it gets real suggestive. You’re like, ‘Well, if I do then everything kind of falls into place because they already putting us together.’ So, it’s a genius idea.”

Unfortunately for the KUWTK star, John believes he’s “post-celebrity relationship probably” in his life.

As fans of his know, the Your Body Is a Wonderland singer has been linked to Halsey (though it turned out they’re just friends), Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, and of course, Katy Perry.

So, it seems like we won’t ever be seeing Mayer get with this Kardashian or any other for that matter!

The songwriter did share he was “upset” with the rumors, though, after hearing one detail:

“The only part that made me upset to any degree was that somebody said that when I saw Kourtney, I said, ‘It was sweet serendipity running into you,’ which I would never say… I didn’t say that because that’s hyper corny.”

Finally dishing the real story, Mayer confessed:

“The story of what actually happened is… I ran into the bass player from the Scorpions… And then Kourtney Kardashian walks up and I said, ‘Kourtney, walk away. He’s the bass player from the Scorpions, he’s going to try to get you in a video.’ …All I did was save Kourtney Kardashian from being in a video with the bass player from the Scorpions.”

Andy did reveal he felt “sparks” between John and Kardashian momager, Kris Jenner, previously, with the star chiming in:

“I think she is the Yoda of Hollywood serotonin. She has a good grasp on how to make your serotonin just burst in your brain. I was sitting next to her and I was like, ‘You are the ground zero of bliss.’ Also, I’m a little afraid of her… I don’t want to be noticed by Kris Kardashian too much… She could end me.”
