Here’s why Hillary Clinton’s new hire might be a problem for Bill Clinton

Hillary Clinton announced yesterday that she hired political analyst Zerlina Maxwell to help the campaign’s digital outreach with a focus on “black voters, feminism and gender inequality.”

You might remember Maxwell from the heat she took over a 2014 Washington Post op-ed she wrote on the Univ. of Virginia rape hoax that argued, “No matter what Jackie said, we should generally believe rape claims.”

She even wrote that we should believe the accuser “as a matter of default”:

We should believe, as a matter of default, what an accuser says. Ultimately, the costs of wrongly disbelieving a survivor far outweigh the costs of calling someone a rapist. Even if Jackie fabricated her account, U-Va. should have taken her word for it during the period while they endeavored to prove or disprove the accusation. This is not a legal argument about what standards we should use in the courts; its a moral one, about what happens outside the legal system.

Oh really? Should we believe Juanita Broaddrick, the woman who accused Bill Clinton of rape “as a matter of default” too?

Over to you, Zerlina.
