Bill O’Reilly Claims Univision Can’t Cover Trump Fairly

Is it fair to call out racist behavior as racist?

Bill O’Reilly told Univision anchor Jorge Ramos that the Spanish-speaking network can’t be unbiased in its coverage of Donald Trump for doing just that.

“If you, the top guy, has demonized [Trump] as a racist, how can you possibly cover him?” the Fox News host asked on Wednesday night’s “O’Reilly Factor.”

“I think as a journalist you have to take a stand when it comes to racism,” countered Ramos, who has been kicked out of a Trump press conference.

“How you can cover him, Jorge?” O’Reilly persisted.

“Corruption, public life, dictatorship, and human rights — if you don’t take a stand in those instances, then what’s our goal as journalists?” Ramos responded, before turning the tables on Fox News, singling out O’Reilly and Sean Hannity for being soft on the presidential candidate.

“I think you have to be tougher on Donald Trump,” Ramos said. “You haven’t been tough on him.”

The two then sparred on Trump’s immigration policy, including his infamous wall proposal, and at times spoke over each other.

“I don’t know what’s in his heart, but I know what’s coming out of his mouth,” Ramos summed up. “And what he said about Mexican immigrants is wrong. What he said about women is unacceptable, and what he said about Muslims is simply un-American.”

Ramos was on the show to promote his new book, “Take A Stand.”
