Lil Peep, whose real name was Gustav Åh, was a musician known for mixing both rap and emo together, and whose lyrics were almost always tied to the struggle of failed relationships, suicidal tendencies, and drug addiction. Sadly, those themes appear to be related to his death. According to TMZ, drug paraphernalia was allegedly found with Lil Peep when he was found unresponsive in his tour bus, and the website reports that he “died of a suspected overdose.” Elite Daily reached out to Lil Peep’s team for confirmation of this report and did not receive a response at time of publication.

He captioned the photo, “When I die You’ll love me.”
Peep had fans growing increasingly worried when he claimed he took six Xanax in an Instagram story posted to social media. In the video, a barely-coherent Peep says, “El Paso… I took six Xanax and I was lit. I’m good, I’m not sick. I’ma see y’all tonight.”
“F*ck I don’t know what to say,” Thorne wrote in a tweet upon hearing the news of Lil Peep’s death. Then, hours later, she took to Twitter again to express her sadness over the life that was cut short. She wrote, “Peep you deserved more out of life. Life didn’t do your greatness justice.”
